Hands-On Lab: Peering Virtual Networks in Azure

Level 200

Published 2016-11-02

Length 30 minutes

In this lab, you will create two virtual networks (VNets) each with a VM provisioned and connected to each isolated network (in the same region). Then using the Azure portal you connect or “peer”, those networks together. This means that the two separate networks will be able to communicate with one another and have routes to each other. You will then use the two VMs to connect to each other to prove that the VNet Peering is up and running properly. The VMs will be able to communicate using their non-public IP Addresses.
