This course provides an introduction to Log Analytics using the Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS). Students are introduced to an overview of all pillars of OMS which includes Log Analytics, Automation, Availability and Security components and then provided with full details on using the Log Analytics component.

- This course is designed for information technology professionals and technical decision makers that are new to OMS and need to use the Log Analytics component of OMS.
Module 1: Introduction to the OMS Suite
In this module you will learn about the basics of the Operations Management Suite (OMS) and how this Microsoft offering fits into your environments. You will also learn about the evergreen approach to introducing new features and functionality to OMS.
Module 2: Getting Started with OMS
In this module you will learn how to begin your journey with OMS. You are provided with the steps you must take to plan and prerequisites you must have to complete the OMS onboarding. The module also provides a brief overview of the subscription model for OMS. You then move into the steps to connect the data sources for OMS, direct device connections, Operations Manager and finally getting data from your cloud storage account.
Module 3: Managing OMS
In this module you will learn how to configure and manage the settings OMS depends on. You learn how to invite and manage user access, navigating the solutions workspace and switching workspaces.
Module 4: Using OMS Log Analytics
In this module you will be introduced to the searching capabilities of OMS. The OMS environment provides you with your personal dashboard. You learn how these dashboards are created and managed and finally you get to explore the feedback feature.
